  • manual steering rack

anyone convert there early model to a manual rack alot of dsmer's do it here in the states for simplicity of the engine bay. But im wondering where i could source a RHD manual rack or do they exsist? Also for those of you thinking why? Well i want popeye arms, and my car only weights 2200 with me and a tank of gas. So standing still and turning this thing is nothing to me.

Maybe a base line lancer or something in the uk has a man. rack? If so i have a friend there that will ship acrossed the pond to me.
    So any suggestions?
    Thanks fellers..

You'd be better off modifying the stock rack to work without assistance, as the manual racks are much slower (more turns lock to lock).

I bought one from my local auto factors.

The rack fits the Evo subframe, but you will need a n/s rack mount & sort out what tie rod/ track rod ends your going to use as the Colt ones are smaller.
As said before they are about 5 turns lock to lock.
