How you find the GT30 man?

    Comment

    • Nik- the GT30 was great. This weekend we had to use a 40mm restrictor for the hillclimb. I haven't competed without it but the car makes great power. Later in the season, if I can get Garrett's support I'll be using a 3576 which hasn't been released yet. :)

      Here's another photo..

      • Sweet stuff !!! i LOVE action pics !!
Is ur motor stroked or 2.0l ?
Also i wanted to ask what specs are ur wheels? and how much out did u go with the extra fenders?
Plus i want to hear some feedback about the front lower arms

        • Nik it's a 2.0. The wheels are I think 35 offset but with 1" spacers on the front and rear. I made the spacers because I have another set of wheels with 15 offset that work well without them. The rear lower arms are great. Saved the day this weekend when I had to increase the ride height.

Does anyone know if there's a company that makes adjustable rear upper arms? That's my next project.

                    • Megan Rear Toe and Camber Arms for the 92-95 Mirage with Aurora M16x1.5 (RH thread) spherical bearings.

Your car is a little monster, man. I was at the Climb to the Clouds but every time I came to see yours and Bill's cars you guys weren't there. What an epic weekend.

                      • Pete, I like that Idea of swapping to a quality bearing on the Megan arms. Do you think that China-bushing on the inside will last? I think I need to do something like this anyway.

I was at the race from Wed to Sunday? Did you really not see us there? There are some more videos coming out now. I have one I'll post in a minute of practice. Decent launches but poor road speed. I felt like I wasn't getting fast until Sunday. So it goes.

                            • Alex,
I actually ended up replacing the other bushings with Ralliart ones that I was originally going to use. The cheap ones just press right out of the Megan arms and the Ralliart ones right in.

My buddy and I came up Saturday afternoon and stayed until Sunday evening. On Sat I was checking out your car for a bit, but must've missed you each time I came by. Mt. Washington is such a crazy mountain and the video's simply DO NOT do the road justice. It is intimidating driving up even at the posted speeds and to see you guys pushing like that was incredible. I gained a lot of respect for all the drivers that weekend. That said, I can't wait to get my car going and join you! Oh yeah, what happened to Bill's car btw?

                              • I was trying to think of how to "fix" that end as well.

If one were to say bolt L's to the frame (or trailing arm as the case may be) where the bolts holes were and then tack around it, you could run a bolt through the L's and through a rod end with some spacers between the rod end and the insides of the L's could you not?
